About Kelli
I am a native American Sign Language (ASL) user, having signed fluently since the age of three. I grew up in Chicago and currently reside in Salt Lake City, where I love helping people of all ages connect through ASL. I bring authentic signing and personalized teaching techniques to every lesson, inspiring confidence and making communication with the deaf community natural, enjoyable, and accessible for babies, children, teens, adults, and families.

Learn ASL With a Native Signer – Lessons for Babies, Kids, Teens, and Adults
Since ASL is a visual language, I use demonstrations, videos, and real-life examples as my teaching method. I also encourage signing as much as possible during lessons, even for beginners, to build comfort quickly. Each lesson is about 50–60 minutes and may include: a Warm-Up (5 minutes) with a quick review of signs from the previous lesson; New Vocabulary (10–15 minutes) introducing themed signs such as family, school, emotions, or daily routines; Practice Activities (15–20 minutes) like role-play, simple conversations, or games to reinforce learning; Confidence Practice (10 minutes) where students use what they’ve learned to “chat” with me; and a Wrap-Up & Homework (5 minutes) with suggestions for daily practice, like signing at mealtimes or using a mirror.
Why pick me? I have used ASL since I was 3 years old, so I teach authentic, natural signing that helps students feel confident communicating with deaf people. My lessons are friendly, interactive, and designed for learners of all ages, whether you’re a parent introducing your baby to sign language, a child or teen learning for school or fun, or an adult starting from scratch or looking to improve your fluency.
