About Sacha
While as an 18-year-old student I naturally don't have much direct teaching experience, I am a qualified ski instructor (CSIA Level 1) and have volunteered at a primary school teaching young children maths. I've achieved 4 A*s at A Level (in Maths, French, Russian and History) together with 11 9s at GCSE. I'm about to start on my first year at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, studying Russian and Linguistics. I believe that tutoring is all about instilling a love of learning and an appreciation for the subject. While my own knowledge may be more limited than some, my professionalism, work ethic and engagement with the subject mean I strive to give you the best experience possible and make a meaningful difference to your academic life.

I believe that the key to being a tutor is a love of learning. As a very all-round successful student (4 A*s at A Level, 11 9s at GCSE), I believe that I can increase your grades and understanding of maths, while also helping you gain an appreciation for the subject. I'd be looking to teach those of GCSE age or younger, especially those who enjoy the subject already and would like further enrichment, but also those who are struggling and would like some help understanding difficult concepts. I am flexible with my methods and timings; as a student set to start at the University of Oxford in October, it would probably be easier to focus on online lessons, but I could also do in-person lessons in either the London or Oxford areas where it would be helpful. I write my own materials for the lessons using LaTeX, but can also help with your own schoolwork and adapt to whichever methods of teaching would best help you. Looking forward to our first trial lesson!
