About Alyson
Music has been my life since childhood. I have 7 years of experience teaching everything from basic reading sheet music to complex lead guitar and power chords. Strumming patterns and ear training form the foundation of my technical work.
I hold an Artist Diploma in Music Performance from Manhattan School of Music. Tuning and maintenance are vital parts of my teaching process. I utilize a diagnostic skills check before building a lesson plan for new guitarists. My approach is centered on consistent, gradual progress.

Pacing dictates success. I observe your playing carefully to ensure you stay challenged.
We analyze your technique through the lens of music theory and blues progressions. Accuracy matters.
My diagnostic skills check guides our initial 10 sessions. You will receive an 8.0 rating on your technical proficiency as we work.
I watch every movement to prevent bad habits from forming. Clear communication is the key to your growth. I enjoy seeing students discover and develop their own unique voice.
