About Oghenekome
Hiya :) my name is Kome, I am an international student at the University of York. I really love teaching because growing up I had tutors and they really impacted my academic career. I am extremely patient and I am always available to assist even outside of the allocated session. School can be stressful; I am here to relieve the stress and make learning fun.

I teach students to be able to answer questions on their own, I encourage independence because my teaching style is built upon guidance. Once something is taught, my teaching style is flexible; it allows you to ponder on different ways to manoeuvre a problem. -Lessons from Year 3-11 -Each lesson is an hour long - I teach with past paper questions, worksheets, games, and active recall strategies. I have been tutoring students since I was 14, one of my achievements being one of my students achieving an A* IGCSE chemistry.

She’s really friendly, and takes time explaining stuff. And she’s also very smart.
Kome is a very patient and kind teacher. She tutored my son while he was preparing for his GCSE's and he came back with amazing results. Before Kome, he would average 5/6's in his math work, but he was able to get an 8 with her help. I highly recommend her for anybody who's looking for a good math tutor.
