About Mia
I obtained 3 Levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry at grades A*, A, A respectively. Since summer of 2019 I have tutored GCSE students in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and A-level students in Biology and Chemistry.
Currently, I am studying Biomedical Science in my second year and I am more than happy to answer any questions about my degree!

I always plan my lessons beforehand so there is no time wasted deciding what to cover that hour. Initially I start by getting to know what level the students is at, usually by a mini topic test or by talking through a chosen topic. This helps me to identify any weaknesses and enables me to adapt my lessons to the students requirements. Some teaching methods I use include:
- past exam questions
- quick fire recall questions
- drawing diagrams or flow charts
- interactive activities
I deliver all my lessons virtually either using google meet, microsoft teams or zoom and at the end of each lesson I can share all the notes with the student if desired. These notes will usually be on a word document or an interactive whiteboard depending on the subject. Finally, I try to keep my lessons as fun as possible in the hope that it may spark some passion for the subject and help students remember the information we have discussed.
