About Katie
I am studying for my Biomedical Science degree which I will obtain next year. I will then continue on into a career in clinical research science in the field of genomics it is far more interesting than it sounds I promise. I have been tutoring for the last 4 years and really enjoy being able to help people of all ages and backgrounds enjoy learning and gain confidence in their own abilities. Besides academics I really enjoy music and art generally, and encourage the use of music and artistic visuals in my teaching.

My teaching method is heavily focused on students establishing confidence in their own abilities. There is nothing that can't be learned or achieved, if there's difficulties in learning it's usually because a student isn't learning in the way that's right for them. I like to keep things simple, no need for showing off but just breaking things down that may initially seem complicated and building from there. I like to incorporate lots of visuals in my teaching, and music can be a very helpful tool. I set realistic timeframes, and am clear what I expect from a student in return.
