About Marios
Hi! My name is Marios, and I’m a passionate educator with a strong academic background and a love for helping others succeed. I recently graduated from Imperial College London with a degree in Medical Biosciences, and I achieved A*s in Maths, Biology, and Chemistry at A-Level, as well as A*s in all my GCSE subjects. Throughout my studies, I discovered how much I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, digestible pieces of information. I frequently helped my peers and younger students understand challenging topics, and I loved seeing the moment when everything "clicked" for them. I want to teach because I believe education has the power to transform a student’s confidence and future opportunities. I want to inspire my students to reach their potential and show them that, with the right support and effort, they are capable of achieving more than they think. Whether it’s preparing for exams, mastering difficult topics, or simply building confidence, I’m here to guide and support my students every step of the way.

My tutoring approach is student-centred, focusing on tailoring lessons to the individual needs and learning styles of my students. I believe that understanding concepts deeply and practising exam-style questions are key to academic success. I simplify complex topics by explaining them from multiple perspectives and using relatable examples to ensure students fully grasp the material. Additionally, I emphasise active learning through practice questions and discussions to reinforce understanding and build confidence. I use past papers and mark schemes to familiarise students with how answers should be structured to meet examiner expectations. I also encourage open communication so that students feel comfortable asking questions and addressing any difficulties they face. A typical lesson can last between 1 and 2 hours, which provides enough time to introduce a topic, work through examples, and complete practice questions. However, this is flexible. For students preparing for exams, I will also allocate time for reviewing past papers and focusing on areas where they need improvement. I hold an A* in A-Level Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, as well as an A* in all my GCSE subjects. I recently graduated from Imperial College London with a degree in Medical Biosciences, during which I developed skills in explaining challenging concepts to diverse audiences. I also have experience working with AQA and Edexcel exam boards, making me well-versed in their requirements. My background equips me to teach with both subject expertise and practical exam preparation techniques. I can tutor students at both GCSE and A-Level in subjects such as Maths, Biology, and Chemistry. My lessons are suitable for students aged 14–18 who are aiming to improve their understanding, boost their grades, or excel in their exams. I am flexible and happy to adapt to students of different learning speeds and levels of confidence.
