About Lorenzo
I am a researcher in neuroscience, with a background in molecular biology and neurobiology, and for several years I have been combining research with study support for students, both high school and university. In my journey, I have worked on complex topics in biology, developing an approach based on understanding mechanisms and reasoning, rather than simple memorization. This is the method I also try to convey in lessons, adapting it to the level and needs of the student.
I chose to teach because, during my training, I saw how much the study method makes a difference: often the difficulties do not depend on the subject itself, but on how it is addressed. For this work, together with the student, to build a more effective and aware approach.
The goal is not only to pass tests or exams, but to develop tools that allow you to independently address subsequent topics, with greater confidence and understanding, making the study more effective and less time-consuming.

Each student learns differently. My approach starts from identifying objectives, difficulties and the most suitable study method together. My experience in neuroscience has led me to develop a method based on reasoning and understanding mechanisms. My specific training in strategic learning techniques allows me to adapt the method to the student's characteristics, for example, with concept maps, logic schemes, and active recall techniques. The lessons are interactive and oriented towards active learning: connections between concepts, analysis of biological processes and the development of autonomy in study.
A typical lesson includes:
• Analysis of previous knowledge and clarification of doubts
• Targeted explanation with concrete examples and guided exercises
• Verification of comprehension based on the objective (exam, test or university preparation).
The goal is not only to pass tests or exams, but to provide tools that allow you to independently address subsequent topics, with greater confidence and understanding.

Details
The first appointment is always free and is focused on getting to know each other, clarifying what the objectives are and checking the compatibility between student and teacher.
Group classes are welcome with up to 3 students together. In that case, the price per student drops by 25% for each student, for example: for an hour of class, two high school students together pay 11€ each, three high school students pay 9€ each.
For university students, the basic fee is 20€, and the proportions of group lessons are the same. For one hour of class two university students pay 15€ each, three university students 12€.
