Hi, I'm Amelie! I'm happy to tutor both for specific exam preparation and general course teaching in all listed subjects up to GCSE/A-level. Most importantly, my lessons are fun and supportive, hopefully instilling a love of the subject in my students, even where they have struggled with it previously. I have experience tutoring maths, biology and chemistry at GCSE level, and maths at A-level. This has all been in-person tutoring over the past 3 years. I achieved 4A*s at A-level in maths, biology, chemistry and geography and am currently studying biology at degree level at Oxford University. Of course, my lessons are tailored to each student's requirements and goals. However, a typical lesson will begin with a 5-minute recap of the previous session, with a couple of practice questions. This is followed by a 20-minute interactive topic overview, helping the student get to grips with the subject matter with lots of opportunities to ask questions and deepen their understanding. Once we've covered the key material and examples, we'll work through some practice questions and exam-style questions together, before wrapping up with a recap and debrief. Here I will ask what the student found more/less helpful so future sessions are the best they can be.
