About Siobhan
Hi, I’m Siobhan, a Biology graduate (Level 8 Bioanalytical Science) offering calm, supportive grinds for Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students. I didn’t always find science easy. I actually didn’t have much interest in it during school and didn’t do well in my mocks. But I made a real effort to turn things around, moved up to Higher Level, and ended up passing my Leaving Cert biology with pride. That experience taught me that with the right approach, science can click, and that’s what led me to study Science even after my Leaving Cert. Now I help students who feel the same way I once did — unsure, frustrated, or behind — to feel more confident and capable, one step at a time. In saying that, I know how overwhelming science can feel, so I focus on breaking things down clearly, without stress or pressure. My goal is to help you understand the "why" behind the topics, not just memorize facts and to build real exam confidence using past paper questions and marking scheme tips. Every student learns differently, so I always work at your pace and adapt my teaching style to suit you. Whether you're aiming to pass or push for higher grades, I’ll support you in a way that feels manageable and encouraging. I’m professional, down-to-earth, and genuinely invested in helping you feel more confident walking into your next exam.

Hi, I’m Siobhan, a Biology graduate offering supportive grinds for Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students.
My approach is simple: I focus on making science easier to understand by breaking things down clearly and using examples that make sense. I’m very patient, and I always try to make students feel comfortable asking questions.
Lessons usually last 45 minutes to an hour, depending on what suits the student best. I like to mix explaining tricky topics with doing exam-style questions together, so students build both understanding and confidence. I also like using diagrams and visuals to help make the material stick.
I hold a Level 8 degree in Bioanalytical Science and have experience in lab and academic settings. While I’m new to tutoring formally, I’ve always been the person classmates and friends came to when they needed help breaking things down, so now I’m turning that into something real.
My grinds are ideal for:
- Leaving Cert Biology (Higher & Ordinary)
- Junior Cert Science
- Students who feel overwhelmed or lost and want calm, structured help
