About Zara
I am a PhD researcher in Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Oxford. I hold a Master's in Brain Science from UCL, and a first-class BSc in Biomedical Science.
I have mentored students at both my sixth-form and secondary in science subjects, helping them to massively improve their confidence and ability in time for exams. I have also been tutoring students for the last few years alongside my university studies, so I have extensive teaching experience.

My priority is to build students' confidence, improving their exam performance by ensuring they have a solid foundation from which to progress.
Teaching methods and specific topics of concern will be discussed in the first lesson to provide a bespoke tutoring experience for each tutee. The topic for each lesson will be determined beforehand to ensure sufficient preparation of materials to get the most out of each session. If preferred, lessons can follow the course specifications closely, so that all topics are covered. Tutees may occasionally be set homework tasks to consolidate their learning when necessary.
Above all, I want to help students find their subject interesting, so that they can have fun during the learning and revision process! Biology is a fascinating subject, and encouraging your interest is key for success that lasts beyond the next exam.
