About Laura
I understand the difficulty math and science can be for students, especially when other classes demand your attention and focus. I go with a "let's get right to it" approach so we don't waste time while also making sure you feel comfortable with me. You can't learn from someone you don't like and I'm open to feedback if something does or doesn't work so I can be more helpful, whether that's more resources, more practice, or anything else.

When I privately tutor math and science my motto is simple: I'm here to help!
-I meet with families who are interested in hiring me and listen for specifics they'd want me to focus on (i.e. homework help, more practice with certain topics, etc)
-With my partitioned white board, I work with the student to go over what is needed–stopping to explain a concept, step by step problem solving, or asking questions for understanding
-We work together as a team within the timeframe, usually an hour, and meet again whenever the agreed upon frequency is
-There is no difference with subject change during a lesson because it is based on time, not topic and it is not prorated
