About Sophie
I am a graduate of the University of Manchester, having studied Biology and German for 4 years, which included a placement year in a microbial oceanography lab in Vienna. I am fascinated by the subject and am about to begin a masters in Biology, so I can very much relate to students who are working towards exams and feeling the stress that comes with it. I have previously tutored for three and a half years for MagiKats, have since volunteered Action Tutoring to tutor students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and was a mentor for student in lower years during my time at university. Therefore I have a range of experience in working with students of all ages and levels as well making a range of resources. I always really enjoyed getting to know my students and tailoring my lessons towards them so that they get the most out of it.

I have tutored for three and a half years, working with students from primary school to GCSE. I really enjoy helping my students to have the lightbulb moment and using a range of different materials and approaches to suit their individual needs.
Lessons are 1 hour long and will consist of interactive activities and exercises to ensure active learning and enjoyment! Where students are studying towards exams, past exam questions are key to learning a thorough exam technique so these will also be incorporated into every lesson.
I am happy to tutor any level/curriculum, and cater to any particular needs.
