About Amy
Studying STEM at University and A level has left me with a passion for the sciences, I understand that they can be challenging subjects, but I believe everyone has the capacity to excel at them given the correct resources and mind set.
I enjoy helping ambitious students prepare for competitive university applications, as well as encouraging those with a lack of confidence to also consider it an option if they have the academic potential to do so.
My goal is to not just improve grades but teach students how to learn efficiently and independently to ensure they become confident in their own abilities.

Having recently achieved nine 9s at GCSE, and A*A*A at A levels (Maths, Biology and Chemistry), I have a great understanding of the exam specifications, common challenges students face, and the exam techniques and revision methods necessary to receive top grades.
By identifying areas of strength and weaknesses I aim to create a supportive learning environment, explaining concepts clearly and reinforcing this with a multitude of exam style questions.
Having completed the Oxford admission process, I recognise the competitive nature of the system and understand what the interviewers are looking for in candidates. With the help of mock interviews I can offer detailed feedback on problem solving approaches and other skills needed to be successful in this stage of the admission process.
Lessons can be online or in person (if in Guildford/Farnham/Farnborough area) and typically 60 minutes though this is flexible according to your needs - with all abilities welcome.
Interview preparation will be best suited to those applying for Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biological Natural Sciences.
