About Orion
I am a senior at Temple University pursuing my BS in Biochemistry. I have experience as a high school tutor in math, biology, and chemistry, and have worked as a TA for university-level organic chemistry.
Throughout my academic career, I have found that the most impactful learning comes from one-on-one sessions with peers and tutors; it's fulfilling to work towards the common goal of increased understanding and academic confidence. The "ah-ha" moment when a concept clicks is one of the most gratifying experiences you can have, both as a student and tutor.

As a former tutoree myself, I am uniquely qualified to tailor lessons to suit your learning style and needs. I offer online and in-person sessions in the North Philadelphia area, focusing on mathematics, chemistry, and biology. My lessons typically begin with an assessment of what you would like to learn and a brief primer on the chosen topic. We will then do a couple of worked problems, demonstrate the necessary problem-solving strategies and concepts, and allow you to talk me through your process. This allows me to assess your ability and identify the sticking points. I will then tailor explanations and targeted practice to address these weaknesses.
I am most experienced as a high school/college tutor; however, I am willing to work with an elementary/middle schooler as well!
