About Beth
My name is Beth, and I am a 28 year old scientist. I have a degree in Adv. Science and a PhD in Biochemistry which took 8 years to obtain with 4 years lab research. After I finished my degrees I found a job in a pharmaceutical company where I am in R&D researching the efficacy of antibodies for the treatment of respiratory diseases.

I have been tutoring for over 10+ years and love it! Over the years I have taught 7-12 maths, science, senior science, biology and chemistry. Additionally, I was a tutor at UNSW for 4 years and even was the assistant course coordinator for a number of subjects creating content for university students.
I have found that every student is different and therefore each tutoring session must be tailored. However, I generally have two approaches: for students that require more help we go through the content step by step and for more advanced students I let them tell me what they would like to discuss each session and we go from there. Typically an hour session is undertaken, and frequency depends on grade, student ability and subject. For example maths is typically 1-2x per week and biology may be fortnightly.
