About Ben
My name is Ben, and I am a PhD student in Imperial College London doing research in Biochemistry.
I have attended an American high school, exposing myself to multiple opportunities, such as music, sports, and various disciplines in academics.
With the subjects, instruments, and sports I learned, I was able to take advantage of my abilities by teaching kids; I have some experience teaching 10-12 year-olds the clarinet and the bassoon, and I have been coaching baseball teams (12-14 year-olds for two years, and beginner adults for a year) for about three years. In addition, I was a peer tutor, helping my friends with economics.
Although I lack much experience tutoring kids in biology, chemistry, maths, or economics, I believe that my experiences will be translatable - being a coach and teaching kids how to play baseball (one of my biggest passions) means that I am very comfortable around kids and have patience around them.
