About Mingyi

I am a native Mandarin speaker who has lived in Australia for many years, with strong bilingual communication skills in both Chinese and English. I understand the challenges that beginners face when learning a new language, and I focus on making Mandarin clear, practical, and approachable for students of all ages. My background in accounting and university-level study has given me solid analytical and teaching skills, which I apply to explain grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary in a simple, structured way. I have experience working with both adults and children, and I enjoy helping students build confidence step by step. Whether you want to learn conversational Mandarin, need support with schoolwork, or hope to strengthen your foundation in the language, I provide patient, personalized guidance tailored to your goals. I believe that learning should be comfortable, encouraging, and well-paced—and I am committed to helping every student make steady progress. I am currently available for online lessons and happy to take on new students.

About the lesson

My Mandarin lessons are suitable for both adults and children, and are designed to be clear, supportive, and personalised to each learner’s level. For beginners, I focus on practical vocabulary, pronunciation, and real-life communication, using simple English explanations to make learning easy. For younger students, lessons are structured with engaging activities that help them build confidence step by step. Every class is customised to your goals—whether you want conversational Mandarin, help with schoolwork, or a solid foundation in the language. My aim is to create a comfortable learning environment where you can progress steadily without pressure. Lessons are available online, with flexible scheduling to suit your availability.

I’ve known Mingyi for a while and I’ve always been impressed by how patient and clear she is when explaining things. She has a natural ability to break down difficult accounting concepts and make them easy to understand. She prepares carefully, is reliable, and genuinely cares about helping others improve. I believe any student would feel supported and confident learning with her.
