About Thanen
I am currently studying a Diploma of Business at Monash College in Melbourne, with a strong academic background in Finance and Economics at university level. My studies have trained me to think analytically, communicate clearly, and break down complex ideas into simple, logical steps.
Throughout my academic journey, I have taken on leadership roles such as Student Union President and Student Ambassador, which strengthened my responsibility, organization, and communication skills. These experiences taught me how to work with different personalities, explain ideas clearly, and support others in achieving their goals.
I am fully bilingual in English and Khmer, allowing me to communicate confidently with both students and parents. I take professionalism seriously by preparing thoroughly for each session, arriving on time, and maintaining clear and respectful communication.
My goal as a tutor is to provide structured, reliable support while helping students build both competence and confidence in their learning.

My lessons are friendly, supportive, and structured to help students feel comfortable while making real progress. I encourage questions and focus on building genuine understanding, not just memorising answers. Students learn the reasoning behind each concept so they can solve problems independently.
Each one hour lesson begins by identifying the exact area of difficulty. We then work through the topic step by step using clear examples, gradually increasing the level of challenge. I finish with a short recap to reinforce understanding and confidence.
I prepare lessons based on the student’s current school topics and align them with the Victorian Curriculum where possible. I also set small goals and monitor progress so improvement is clear and measurable.
I am currently studying a Diploma of Business at Monash College in Melbourne, with a background in Finance and Economics at university level. I am fully bilingual in English and Khmer, which allows me to support both students and Cambodian families effectively.
I work primarily with primary and junior high school students seeking support in Maths and English, with a focus on building strong foundations and lasting confidence.
