About Carolina
I am a dedicated and reliable bilingual educator with a strong commitment to helping students feel confident and supported in their learning journey. My experience working as a Teacher Aide and in OSHC has allowed me to develop practical skills in supporting students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles, particularly in English as a Second Language (ESL) contexts.
I take pride in creating a structured yet friendly learning environment where students feel safe to participate, make mistakes, and grow. I am patient, organized, and attentive to each student’s individual needs, ensuring that every lesson is purposeful and adapted to their goals.
Parents and students can expect professionalism, clear communication, and consistency. I prepare each lesson in advance, set achievable learning objectives, and provide ongoing support to track progress and build confidence over time.

My approach to tutoring is student-centered, engaging, and focused on building both confidence and practical language skills. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported, and motivated, so I create a positive and encouraging learning environment in every lesson.
In terms of methodology, I use a combination of communicative language teaching and interactive activities. This includes games, real-life conversations, visual supports, and tailored exercises depending on the student’s level and goals. For younger learners, I incorporate fun and dynamic activities to keep them engaged, while for older students I focus more on conversation, grammar, and real-world application.
My lessons typically last between 45 minutes to 1 hour, which I find is the ideal time to maintain focus while covering meaningful content without overwhelming the student.
I have experience working as a Teacher Aide and in OSHC (Out of School Hours Care), supporting children across different ages and learning needs. This has given me strong skills in classroom support, behavior management, and adapting lessons to suit individual students, especially in ESL contexts.
My lessons are mainly for primary school students and beginner to intermediate English learners, but I am also happy to support older students who want to improve their confidence in speaking and understanding English.
