About Sonia

I was a French tutor for a year and a half at my College Northeastern University, where I taught about 30 English-speaking students coming from various backgrounds. Most of my students improved their grades and confidence in French after having a few tutoring sessions with me.

About the lesson

My teaching techniques depend on the subject being taught and the student's level/age. I personalize and adapt my technique based on each student's learning process and objectives.

The ideal way for me to structure a session is by starting with a review of what was covered in the previous session, to make sure that material has been understood, and then proceed to what the student wants to tackle, and review the main points before the end of the session. This structure is flexible based on the student's needs.

When I decided to learn French, I was very uncertain of how I would be able to learn it having Spanish as my first language. Luckily, Sonia was there to help me in every step of the way. Sonia has the patience and talent to make each and every person around her feel comfortable to ask any and every question they might have. She also went above and beyond by actually helping me understand even cultural differences! Even now that she graduated, she still makes herself available to me, and I truly find that extremely valuable. I am confident she has the skills needed to share her knowledge in the most proficient way to every person she has the opportunity to work with.
