About Ava
I’m a Berklee College of Music alum with a passion for helping singers grow in both skill and confidence. My background spans vocal performance, music theory, music production, arranging, and musical theater, which has given me a deep appreciation for storytelling through song. As a coach, I focus on creating a supportive space where students can explore their voices, build healthy technique, and connect with the music they love. In lessons, I draw on my experience in contemporary and theater styles, blending vocal training with practical music theory to strengthen overall musicianship. I love working with students of all levels—whether you’re new to singing, preparing for auditions, or looking to refine your artistry—and I tailor each lesson to your unique goals and style.

My teaching method blends vocal technique with practical music theory, giving students the tools to feel confident both as singers and as musicians. A typical lesson starts with vocal warmups and technique-building, then moves into repertoire or exercises that fit the student’s goals. I also weave in music theory in a hands-on way—always connected to the music we’re working on—so it feels relevant and easy to apply.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my background as a Berklee College of Music alum and working musician, which means I bring both professional training and real-world experience to my students. I make sure lessons are supportive, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s level and style.
My lessons are for anyone interested in improving their singing and musicianship—from beginners building confidence, to intermediate students looking to expand their skills.
