About Luis
My level of Japanese may be a concern to you, but I can assure you that I'm incredibly passionate about the language and want to share this feeling with you and help you reach your goals no matter what they are. I've studied Japanese for 2 years now, both in a classroom and by myself. As someone who isn't a native speaker I can help you throughout the learning process and answer any questions you might have concerning the language as at times, it is quite strange. I've been where you are, and I've had my share of confusing moments that I was able to receive help with while learning. I hope I can be that same person for you.

My approach to teaching centers around the beginner into intermediate stages of learning the language as it's still fresh in my head. The Genki textbook will be what we primarily use, but I will also personally teach any bases that the textbook doesn't cover as well as offer speaking and listening practice. My goal as a tutor is to give you the most holistic approach to learning Japanese which includes, reading, writing, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. That being said, why you're choosing to learn the language matters a lot so it's possible I may tailor my teaching approach to match your needs.
