I am a musician and architect from Cork, Ireland. I have loved music all my life, playing a number of different instruments in different bands over the years, with guitar as my focus. I have been giving lessons for more than 5 years, helping many people to achieve their aspirations and express themselves through music.

Just got your first guitar? Finally decided to dust off the old acoustic in the attic you’ve always dreamt of playing? Looking for a fun and fulfilling new hobby? Then look no further!
Picking up a new instrument can be quite intimidating, it never seems to sound right, those lessons on youtube make no sense and music theory looks like some kind of alien language. This is the experience of many budding guitarist, however, with the right approach and mentorship, anyone can reach their full musical potential.
This is why as a tutor, I strive to make the guitar as accessible as possible. My lessons start with the basic principles of guitar, working in a way that is personalised to each student and at their own pace. The goal of these lessons is to provide a holistic approach to learning so that each student can desmonstrate a progression in their understanding after each lesson!
Some topics that you can expect to cover are:
1. Tuning
2. Basic chords
3. Scales & Keys
4. Rhythm & strumming
5. Songs (of the students choice)
After each lesson, students will also be given a document containing diagrams and descriptions for all the topics covered in the lesson.
All styles of playing will be catered for, what you learn is up to you!
