About Chris
As a teenager I had a wonderful Bass teacher and his mentorship and encouragement is the whole reason I have a career in music today.
Learning an instrument is a fulfilling and exciting experience that allows you to channel your creativity and passion in a way that can apply to everything in life.
I was not a natural at music and the lessons I learnt from applying myself to it have shaped a lot of how I approach working with and encouraging others today.

The foundation to playing any instrument is an understanding of technique and theory supported by practice and experience.
I like to start with learning some songs which will help to teach the basics of chords and single note playing.
Each lesson will include some exercises which are focused on building dexterity and a familiarity with the fretboard.
We will also look at getting to grips with how the frets relate to each other from a music theory perspective.
Students are welcome to ask if there is something in particular they’d like to focus on like writing their own songs or learning a particular piece of music.
