Robbert has an incredible depth of knowledge about the Renaissance period and a remarkable ability to bring each painting to life. His explanations of the intricate symbolism in works by artists like Botticelli and Raphael—often tied to Greek and Roman culture—gave us a completely new perspective.

Working with grid helped me, as a complete beginner and now I can implement my ideas with this useful tool. Sometime ago I worked, I worked on a number of papers, with the tutorage of Robbert, I can quite frankly tell you not only was he a pleasure to work with, and had any number of interesting twist and terms to help along with the paper, but also his understanding of our history was an incredible help, I would have no hesitation in recommending Robert for any project he felt he was capable of. I can remember one evening late at night. I came down to the last sentences of this paper before he sent it in. I needed some thoughts and reviews the truth is it was 10 at night I’d sent Him a review see what he thought. The idea was he would read it the following morning, by 11 o’clock. He returned with some wonderful ideas that help me push through to the end. What a pleasure to work with this gentleman.
