About Hamish
Hamish loves to pass on his knowledge of piping onto his students and this shows in his teaching portfolio.
Over the last two years Hamish Drennan has partaken in a lot of teaching. Hamish works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the National Piping Centre of Scotland teaching the night classes.
Classes range from 1 pupil to 7 in one class. This gives Hamish many different situations to teach in, ultimately improving how he can adapt to a situation. Hamish is also a regular teacher in the Weekend junior chanter club, Adult Summer school, Junior summer school and weekly night classes. These classes are a mixture of online and in person.
In other areas of teaching Hamish spent a week out in Frankfurt teaching at the Dudelsack Akademie,Germany where he was given 32 students across the week to teach. Hamish also spends his Saturday mornings teaching at Williamwood Highschool instrumental music service in East Renfrew council.
