About Amy
Hi, I’m Amy, a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse working in a specialist eating disorder service. I qualified with First Class Honours in Mental Health Nursing and received an Outstanding Student Ambassador Award during my degree. Before that, I completed an Access to Nursing diploma with all distinctions, which is where my journey into nursing began.
Since qualifying, I’ve been working primarily with individuals experiencing eating disorders. Alongside my clinical role, I’ve delivered guest lectures to nursing students at the University of Nottingham and Manchester Metropolitan University on eating disorders. I support Access to Nursing students, people applying for nursing through UCAS including personal statements and interviews, and current student nurses who want help with assignments, OSCE preparation or general support.
I remember how overwhelming the process can feel, so I keep things clear, honest and practical. Whether it’s improving a personal statement, preparing for interviews, or helping things make sense academically, I’ll meet you where you’re at.
Sessions are mainly online, with the option for face to face locally.

I support people at different stages of their nursing journey. This includes Access to Nursing students who want help with essays, exams, research modules or getting to grips with more difficult topics. I also work with people applying for nursing, helping with UCAS applications, personal statements, study skills and interview preparation. For current student nurses, I offer support with assignments, exam prep, drug calculations, OSCE practice, A–E assessments, and getting ready for Band 5 applications and interviews. I tailor sessions to what you need. I usually ask for a bit of information in advance so I can plan properly and make the session as useful as possible. My approach is flexible and practical. I know everyone learns differently, so I try to explain things in a way that actually makes sense to you. My background working in healthcare and with different groups means I’m used to adapting how I teach depending on the person. I’m reliable, organised and easy to work with, and I take the sessions seriously while keeping them relaxed enough that you can ask questions and build confidence.
