About Kusum
My name is Kusum Nepal, I graduated from UMass Amherst with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and am currently applying to dental school. Throughout my time at UMass, I have participated in teaching in any way I can. I was a Teaching Assistant for courses like organic chemistry and general chemistry. I held office hours after class where I helped students with any topics they were struggling with. To make the classes fun, I would incorporate learning with games like Kahoot which students appreciated a lot. I have also volunteered as a tutor for Upchieve where I worked with middle and high school students and helped with their homework and prep for exams. I mostly tutored Math, Science, Writing, and college applications.

I like to incorporate my teaching methods and techniques tailored to each student according to their knowledge on the topic. I have learned different tips and tricks that I plan to help students with. I am a good listener and communicator who is willing to take the extra mile to make sure my students understand any subject they are having difficulty with. I love the idea of sharing my knowledge so I am happy to be doing so.
