About Logan
I have taught English for 13 years at Weber State University in the United States, with courses ranging from advanced technical writing to argumentation to superheroes. I was awarded the Excellence in Teaching award and consistently ranked at the top of my department in student evaluations. I enjoy finding creative ways to reach my students and broaden their minds. I am currently a PhD student on scholarship at the University of Auckland, specializing in Critical Thinking and A.I. Additionally, I have worked as a human resources professional and have vast experience in CV writing and interviewing, as well as professional technical editing and project management for a major government contractor. What qualifies me more than the rest of this, however, is that I genuinely care about my students and want them to excel.

I enjoy and am skilled at one-on-one tutoring and have been able to help hundreds of students by adapting to their particular learning style. I'm skilled at finding creative ways to present material and make real-world applications, which equates to improved memory retention and critical thinking.
I am most effective tutoring tertiary to secondary students, as well as working professionals who want to improve their written and oral communication skills. Lesson length will depend on the goals of the student, though will typically last 1-2 hours.
I prefer face-to-face instruction as it's more effective, but can make concessions for virtual meetings.
