About Mac
I am a friendly, approachable, first year Mathematics student at the University of Newcastle. I am a second year Student who studies Mathematics With Finance. Maths has always appealed to me and has always been one of my favourite subjects for a while now – as I enjoy the problem solving side of things! I recognise that not everyone will have a passion for the subjects they are studying or necessarily want to progress with them in the future! Either way, I will help you achieve the highest grades possible and put you in the best position to achieve your goals. I will be able to make the subject manageable with my clear explanations and patient approach, and hopefully pique your interest in the subject at the same time! I have recently done these exams and so I am familiar with the A level and GCSE syllabuses; I will use my knowledge and past experiences to deliver an individual flexible approach to learning, as well as give you advice and tips on how to learn most efficiently and succeed in your exams. I am also a professional rugby player, which has helped me particularly well in terms of my communication skills and ability to explain topics of conversation practically and effectively. This has definitely passed on to my day to day life and teaching skills. I work well with Student athletes and can relate to them in terms of the sport/life balance.
