About Jack
I am a Food Diagnostics R&D scientist working in the medical Diagnostics industry in Northern Ireland, with Foundation and Level One sports coaching qualifications from committed involvement with sport. As part of my university studies, I successfully predicted in silico epitopes for human bocavirus vaccine production.
I feel that my experience both in schooling and within industry fields would be very beneficial to up and coming scientists. For example, I did not know, that when I first applied for an Industry Lab role, that I would be expected to calibrate a pipette as part of my aptitude testing. This was not covered at University and it was only because I had completed an industrial placement that I was aware of this.
