About Feroz
Being in a faculty position classified as a position of trust with access to diverse populations, my pedagogical objective has always been to create an academically safe and inclusive environment in my class that accommodates diverse learning needs and fosters greater student success.
I have been teaching Mathematics for the past 11 years ( 5 years as an instructor while completing my Ph.D. at Saint Louis University, USA) and 6 years currently a a faculty at University of Wisconsin.
My interactive lesson plans are designed using a curious mix of scaffolding techniques that builds on the student’s understanding of what has been covered through series of questions acting as engagement triggers. This not only makes my lesson plan active but also allows the students to grow and think critically on their understanding, similar to a conscious meta-cognitive practice.

I use Zoom + iPAD for virtual whiteboard and my teaching material that I have accumulated for the past 10 years (5 years as Ph.D. student and instructor).
I teach my classes in a way that complements learning. I have a very casual approach towards grandfathered terms such as 'deadlines', 'discipline', 'doctrination' and 'drill'. I teach for the sole purpose of making you understand. That means you actually get to know 'why' you are performing the particular step along with the 'how' to perform that particular step'. Once you start understanding how things work, you will slowly build interest in the subject.
It is important to me that you keep asking me questions : easy math questions, difficult math questions, crazy math questions, out of the world math questions, downright silly math questions, dumb math questions, absolutely freaky math questions. If you do not, then I will consider myself underutilized.
