About Ella

Hi, I’m Ella, a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI, AGI) based in San Diego, CA. Aviation has been a passion of mine since childhood, inspired by my father, who served as an aircrewman in the Navy. That passion has driven me to not only pursue a career in aviation but also to share my knowledge and experience with aspiring pilots. I currently teach at a flight school in San Diego, where I help students navigate the exciting and challenging world of aviation. My goal as an instructor is to make learning engaging, build confidence, and push students to be as knowledgeable and prepared as possible. Out of all the check rides I’ve taken, I’ve passed every single one on the first attempt—and I strive to give my students the tools and mindset to do the same. Aviation is more than just flying; it’s about discipline, precision, and continuous learning. Whether you’re starting from zero flight time, working toward your next rating, or preparing for a check ride, I’m here to help you master the material, gain real confidence, and succeed. Let’s get you to the skies! ✈️

About the lesson

Master Aviation with a Certified Flight & Ground Instructor – Engaging, Clear, and Effective Lessons!

As an FAA-Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII), Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI), and Advanced Ground Instructor (AGI), I provide structured and engaging aviation lessons designed to take students from step 1 to passing their exams with confidence. My approach simplifies complex aviation topics through visual explanations, detailed videos, acronyms, and real-world correlation to ensure deep understanding and long-term retention.

My Teaching Method & Techniques
I believe in making aviation education engaging, visual, and structured. I use:
️ Drawings & Visual Aids – Hand-drawn explanations that simplify aerodynamics, systems, and procedures.
Detailed Videos & FAA-Approved Sources – Ensuring accurate, real-world applicable learning.
Acronyms & Mnemonics – Helping students easily recall key aviation principles.
Correlation & Scenario-Based Training – Connecting theory to real-world flight situations.

A Typical Lesson Plan
My lessons follow a logical progression, ensuring a smooth learning journey:
Step 1: Core Concept Breakdown – Clear, structured explanation of the topic.
Step 2: Visual Reinforcement – Illustrations, videos, and FAA-approved resources.
Step 3: Interactive Discussions – Scenario-based questions and student engagement.
Step 4: Exam & Checkride Prep – Practice questions and oral exam simulations.

What Sets Me Apart?
I don't just teach to help students pass exams—I help them understand aviation on a deeper level. My organized lesson plans ensure that every student, regardless of their starting point, builds a strong foundation in aviation.

Who Are These Lessons For?
Zero-Time Student Pilots – Laying a strong foundation for your flight training.
Private Pilots Working on Instrument Rating – Mastering IFR concepts and procedures.
Commercial Pilot Students – Deepening knowledge for advanced flight operations.
CFI Applicants – Developing teaching techniques and FAA knowledge mastery.
Multi-Engine Students – Understanding the complexities of multi-engine aerodynamics.
Anyone Needing Extra Ground School Support – Filling knowledge gaps for FAA exams and checkrides.

If you're looking for structured, engaging, and effective aviation tutoring, let's work together to help you succeed in your aviation journey! ️
