About Blake
I heavily emphasize patience and compassion in my sessions, giving lots of space for my students to ask questions and explore concepts at their own pace. Having been a peer tutor for many years throughout high school and college, I am very comfortable working with various personalities and learning styles. As such, I strive to communicate and work with students to organize sessions to their specific learning needs.

My name is Blake Rojas, and I am a high-school math tutor with particular expertise in the subjects of Algebra and Pre-calculus/Calculus. My goal for my students is to gain a full and holistic understanding of the subject material so as to be able to tackle any problem, assignment, or exam with confidence. My approach to teaching centers around concept-based learning, such that each session will be spent reinforcing a student's grasp of fundamental math concepts. In this way, my students are able to help themselves and use their knowledge to identify problem-solving methods on encounter. My focus will always be on learning and comprehension of subject material, with problem-solving being a skill that develops over time with said comprehension.
