About Arthur
Hello! I'm Arthur, I'm 19 years old and a TEFL tutor. I undertook the course to qualify on a whim as a Lockdown activity and have loved it ever since.
I have managed to combine my teaching with other hobbies of mine, such as traveling, culminating in my teaching a Peruvian English class whilst in South America. I also love cooking, and sports like football and cricket. My other passion is music - and during our lessons, I'll try to incorporate these themes to make lessons as interesting as possible.
I am living with my parents, brother, and 2 dogs near Andover, Hampshire for the summer before moving to Dublin to study Philosophy at Trinity College in September. Very much looking forward to meeting you soon!

Having achieved my TEFL certificate at the age of 16, teaching has been a passion of mine in recent years. My unique combination of young age and comprehensive experience combines for interesting, enlightening, and inspiring lessons.
All this talk may you lead you to ask how I differ from other tutors, and below I'll give you specific examples below:
- When volunteering in Peru, teaching a class of over 30 young boys and girls, all homework was marked with feedback the next day. Regularly, this could take up to two weeks with other teachers.
- Teaching Leon, a 5-year-old Turkish boy in London, lessons would be of a somewhat unconventional nature. Rather than sat at a table or a desk, we would walk or cycle in Hyde Park, forming a close bond with him over months of lessons.
- My first tutee, a French girl in her early 20s - was already a confident English speaker, but we worked on specific tasks and areas for her university course.
I hope this displays a wide variety of qualities, techniques, and experiences, so that together - we can accomplish anything.
