About Katharine
I am a student at the George Washington University working towards a BA in Fine Art and Art History with a Classical Studies minor. I have a concentration in early Christian art but am proficient in ancient Roman art and archaeology, Medieval Art, Renaissance and Baroque Italian Art, Western Decorative Arts, and early 20th century art history.

I base my classes on chronological development of art, treating time periods as fluid while acknowledging major cultural themes. I put the art in its context in history and its contemporary artistic culture as well as discussing the biography of the artist who made the work.
