About Florian
I’m a second-year Architecture student at Carleton University with a passion for helping others learn and succeed. I graduated Valedictorian in both high school and middle school, achievements that reflect my commitment to academic excellence and clear communication. Tutoring allows me to combine my love for learning with my interest in mentoring — guiding students to understand complex ideas in simple, relatable ways. I’ve attended Kumon from Grades 3-8, tutored students throughout high school, and have worked with children through basketball coaching and Sunday school teaching. These roles taught me how to communicate clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and build confidence in younger students. I understand how stressful it can be when your child is falling behind or losing motivation. My goal is to make learning stress-free, encouraging, and enjoyable again — helping students rediscover their curiosity and confidence in learning. Before tutoring, I’d love to learn about your child — their interests, goals, and challenges — so I can understand who they are and tailor sessions to what motivates them. I also provide short weekly updates so parents can see what their child is improving on each week. All sessions are conducted in a safe, respectful, and focused environment — I hold a valid Carleton University student ID and can provide references upon request.

I believe that every student learns best when they understand the why behind what they are doing. My lessons focus on visual learning, real-life problem-solving, and connecting academic concepts to practical examples drawn from architecture, design, and everyday experiences
