About Roopa
I hold a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Urban Design, which shaped my understanding of architecture as both an artistic and social discipline. Over 8 years of teaching, I have supported students as they developed confidence in expressing ideas visually and conceptually. My experience includes guiding learners through uncertainty, creative blocks, and design self-doubt. My teaching approach emphasizes patience, observation, and gradual development. I help students understand not only how to design, but why design decisions matter. I adapt guidance to each learner’s creative temperament, ensuring they feel supported rather than judged as they explore their ideas. Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with urban studies, sustainable design research, and visual exploration. These interests enrich my lessons and help me connect architecture to broader human and environmental contexts. Teaching architecture is deeply fulfilling because I witness students discover their creative identity and learn to express complex ideas with confidence and purpose.

Architecture becomes inspiring when students understand how ideas become spaces that shape human experience. My lessons focus on design thinking, spatial logic, form development, and visual communication. I guide learners through sketching, conceptual planning, material awareness, and design reasoning in a calm and supportive environment. Each session encourages creativity while maintaining structure and clarity.
Beginners learn basic drawing skills, proportion, and conceptual thinking. Intermediate learners explore spatial organization, material expression, and project development. Advanced learners focus on portfolio refinement, design narratives, and critical evaluation.
Lessons are paced to balance imagination with discipline. Architecture lessons help students grow creatively and intellectually. My goal is to help learners build a confident design voice while developing thoughtful, structured creative habits.
