I'm a B. Arch student who once was a weak student in mathematics but now lets say I found my strength in it. A teacher plays an important role in liking the subject.
If a teacher prefers her students to write as she/he dictates without missing a word, he/she gives you a wrong pathway. A teacher must appreciate and give freedom for students to try their own methods and make them comfortable.

I believe that having been an average student in my school, I can understand the concerns of those students who find it difficult to understand the subject.
The quality of learning is more important than the quantity. If one only studied a single problem/chapter for the exam, it must be studied in perfect manner than trying to consume all chapters together and forgetting it.
Learning in simplified and easy way rather than by-hearting it can help a lot.
