About Yini
My mission as a professional is utilizing the math tool to solve real-world problems. Being sensitive to data and remembering numbers quicker compared to my peer classmates have been proved as I won a gold medal in The International Mathematical Olympiad.
My education at Columbia University has bridged my knowledge gap and been tailored to my demands. I anticipate an opportunity to bring my unique background and capability to make contributions in tutoring mathematics.

I will gather information from the students before class so that I can make a lesson plan ahead of class. Regarding lesson plans, I will preview the previous materials in the first 5-10 mins. Then, I will spend 40-50, or even longer to teach new materials. By the end of the lesson, I will lead the student to review what we have learned and provide a summary (take-away) sheet. Since I am very patient, friendly and passion to be a math tutor, I am more than happy to teach students who desire to learn math and eager to know to apply math in our life. The lessons will be designed for students from elementary school kids to undergraduate students, which will include algebra, geometry, calculus, etc.
