About Archer
I am a second-year Applied Mathematics Major at UCLA, and I have taken a wide range of Mathematics courses, including Linear Algebra and Calculus. I also previously took part in numerous math competitions, including qualifying for and participating in the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME).

My teaching method has 2 focuses: the first is on learning the material through review and practice, and the second is on developing problem-solving strategies and a good mindset for encountering future difficult problems. A lesson plan will often involve working on similar problems to those that a student has encountered but struggled with, going step-by-step through the process of solving the problem, and then noting interesting patterns or tricks that can be exploited to make the same problem easier to solve. Lessons will also include discussions about the material to try to help the students understand the concepts behind the problem and solution to help build a stronger understanding of the material. Finally, lessons will also include the discussion of strong approaches to problem solving.
