About Matthew
I am a varied candidate with a breadth of expertise. I have understanding and proficiency in both the creative sector, as evidenced by my degree and occupational history, and an understanding of scientific disciplines also, as evidenced by my GAMSAT result, pursuit of medicine, and further educational history. As an individual, I am interested in philosophy, music, animation and illustration, and scientific topics such as abiogenesis and neuroscience.
I have worked with a variety of teams across the globe, from interning at Aardman, to working as a creative and animator in Lithuania. I have experience working with children during commercial shoots and volunteered experience at Westminster House Youth Club. Beyond this, during university I collaborated and mentored with the years below.
Most importantly, I have a love of language and communication. There is a beauty in the ability to arrange your thoughts coherently, and it is a skill applicable to almost every walk of life. My aim will be to elevate your writing to the high standards expected by various exam authorities and professional establishments, without tarnishing your natural flair and passion.

• Preempt lesson by sending essay or creative work to me to review/ to specify any areas you would like help with.
• I will review, and then go through the essay/ creative work with you during the session, offering critiques and advice. Together we will construct an improved version, with a strong understanding as to how and why these changes should be implemented. An emphasis will be put on the point you wish to communicate, clarity, flair, and the strength of the argumentation. Lessons are tailored to the individuality of your writing style.
• Lessons between 1-2 hours, though open to negotiation, dependent on project.
• Qualifications include A* in GCSE and A Level English, First Class creative degree in Animation, years of occupational experience in storytelling within animation industry, extensive interpersonal experience within occupation, 91+ percentile overall score in GAMSAT (graduate entry aptitude test for medicine), with an even higher individual score in essay component, which involves synthesising two essays within 1 hour from prompts presented on exam day.
• Lessons are designed for GCSE to University level.
