About Ishal
I am currently studying biochemistry at St Andrews University.
With many hours accumulated as a professional tutor over the last 2 years, I have remained up to date with changes and details in each GCSE specification. I've also noticed the common topic areas students struggle with, and developed unique methods of ensuring each student is able to fully understand content, answer past exam questions according to the mark-scheme, and link subject knowledge across the spec.
Teaching others has become a true passion of mine - I enjoy passing on the knowledge and watching students have their 'ohh!' moments when they grasp a new concept. I also find a great sense of joy in helping others achieve their goals and pass their exams, celebrating each small goal whether that be in their mocks, summer assessments or final GCSE exams.

One of the most important things about public exams is understanding the specification. My lessons incorporate subject understanding with detailed reference to mark schemes and specification points for strong improvements in grade levels.

Perfect! My daughter had fallen behind in maths, and Ishal has been working with her for only one month. We scheduled in 2 sessions a week as we needed to help her catch up quickly. My daughter went from failing last term’s maths assessment to earning a 90% on her most recent test. Ishal is a brilliant tutor as well as being very kind and patient - I can’t recommend her enough!

Ishal is an extraordinary tutor! My 11 year old child has been struggling with maths and we have been through a handful of tutors, but my child has shy tendencies and Ishal is the perfect tutor for my child. She is very patient, enthusiastic, and very intelligent. She is always finding innovative ways to motivate and keep my child productive. Could not recommend her enough!
Ishal is a great tutor I had her for around 3 months just before exams. Throughly explaining all of my queries and questions. Particularly, in Biology (GCSE) which I found extremely difficult but I need up getting 4 grades higher than I was previously predicted.
She is very really sweet and dedicated to helping others. She always takes her time to explain things and often comes up with creative ways of teaching so make the content more enjoyable and memorable.
In my 2023 exams I was averaging a 5 in GCSE chemistry, and Ishal offered to tutor me. I can safely say that I am now confident for my final exam coming up in June, with my most recent mock exam grade at a 9. Her enthusiasm for the subject, and detailed understanding in the mark schemes helped to shape my understanding, application and confidence in the subject. I would definitely recommend!
