About Amiya
Hi! My name is Amiya Sheth, and I'm a rising senior with a strong passion for STEM and working with children. Throughout high school, I’ve taken 7 AP courses—with 6 more planned for senior year—and I’ve also completed 2 college classes, with plans to take 2 more next semester. I’m currently working on publishing a research paper on cystic fibrosis, a project I’ve been deeply dedicated to. I love helping out in my community and have spent time volunteering at a preschool, working at an elementary aftercare program, babysitting, and helping with other community service events. Outside of academics, I truly enjoy dancing, weightlifting, swimming, reading, hanging out with my sisters, cooking, and exploring the world around me. My goal is to make learning feel less overwhelming and give students more confidence. I’m patient, kind, and genuinely look forward to helping every student I work with!

I love working with younger students (grades K-5) and watching their growth, all while making learning enjoyable and engaging. I get so much joy from being around their energy, connecting with curious children, and helping them feel more confident in their skills.
I also work with older students (grades 6-10) and truly enjoy getting to know them and making a difference. I am so passionate about STEM subjects, and teaching them is incredibly rewarding for me.
As someone who used to struggle and is now in the top 3% of my class with a 4.0+ GPA, I understand what it's like to feel overwhelmed or confused. Not only can I help with the given subject, but I can also share study and homework methods that have helped me succeed.
My teaching approach is flexible and is made to fit each specific student's needs. I strongly believe that everyone learns differently, and that should be reflected in how they're taught. Once I have established the best way to support the student, I will combine explanations, guided practice, and repetition to ensure they fully grasp the concept at hand.
