About Yume
Hi! My name is Yume and I’m currently studying Biology, Psychology and Politics at A level. I’ve always been passionate about learning and helping others build their confidence - especially in creative and expressive subjects like music. Having recently completed Grade 8 Piano; I understand both the challenges and rewards of learning an instrument. I aim to bring patience, encouragement and structure to my lessons so that every student feels supported and proud of their progress. I’m organised, friendly and always aim to create a positive learning environment where students can relax and enjoy making music while improving their skills.

I recently completed Grade 8 Piano (ABRSM), giving me a strong foundation in both performance and theory. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned and helping younger or beginner students discover the joy of playing music. My lessons are ideal for beginners to intermediate players - especially children and early teens who are starting their musical journey. I aim to make piano enjoyable for every student. My lessons are tailored to each learner’s goals; whether they want to learn classical pieces, prepare for ABRSM exams or simply play for fun. I believe in patient, encouraging teaching - helping students progress at their own pace while celebrating every improvement and further developing their musical knowledge. A typical lesson lasts 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s level and attention span. This can be discussed.
