About Rachel
I have a Master's degree in Voice Performance from Juilliard School and 9 years of experience helping singers of all ages discover their unique voice through positive, reward-based teaching. I specialize in building vocal confidence through encouragement, achievement rewards, and fun song choices that keep students excited about singing. My teaching methods use immediate feedback and celebration techniques that research shows help singers improve 50% faster than traditional methods. I've helped students perform at school talent shows, community theater productions, and some have even won local singing competitions! Singing lessons are all about discovering the amazing voice you already have inside you! We start with fun breathing exercises that feel like games, then learn proper posture using simple techniques that work for all ages. You get to choose the songs you want to sing - whether that's your favorite pop hits, Disney songs, Broadway tunes, or any music that makes you happy! I show you healthy singing techniques first, then we sing together, and finally you perform while I cheer you on and give you helpful tips. If you want to learn piano too, I can teach you simple chords and melodies that go with your singing - this bonus skill is included free! You earn "Star Performer" points for practice, improvement, and trying new songs, plus you can earn performance certificates and even record your favorite songs to share with family. Every lesson ends with a mini-performance where you get to show off what you've learned!
