I am all about supporting you and finding ways to explain the concepts which make sense to you. Questions are always welcome, asking to go over something again is welcome and we will always work at a pace that suits you. The aim is to build confidence and foster a genuine understanding and enjoyment of maths, which in turn leads to greater achievement. Each online session is tailored to meet the individual needs of the learner. We begin with a friendly catch-up to check in on how things are going, recap any questions and revisit any previous topics that may need a little more confidence-building. From there, we have clear explanations, interactive tools, and past exam examples to make the learning engaging and meaningful. Progress is seen through practice and everything is broken down step-by-step in a calm, supportive environment. With over 20 years teaching experience I am to anticipate common misconceptions and have an awareness of the key topics and where there may be gaps. Questions are always welcome – no matter how big or small – and we work at a pace that suits the learner. If something isn’t clicking, we try a different approach until it makes sense. The aim is to build confidence and foster a genuine understanding and enjoyment of maths, which in turn leads to greater achievement. Each session ends with a quick recap to reinforce key points, and I offer suggestions for simple follow-up practice or home learning, which will be checked on the following session. Lessons are typically 45 mins-1 hour. I offer tuition for all ages, primary, GCSE and Functional Skills. Above all, my goal is to help every student feel comfortable, capable, and supported on their maths journey.
