About Ajene
I am a recent graduate from Georgia State University. I achieved my B.A. in Public Health. During my time at GSU and at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to take on the opportunity to become a Supplemental Instruction Leader at my university. I became an SI Leader because I knew that this would be a difficult transition for the underclassmen and as a Panther, it is important to be a guide for your fellow student body. I am proud to say that I was able to help my history students pass and reach their academic goals during the difficult time of the pandemic. Since graduation, I completed an internship with the Environmental Protection Agency, achieved my certificate in COVID-19 Contact Tracing, and most recently I got accepted into the CDC Public Health Associate Program. I am most passionate about public health and I hope to get my master's in applied epidemiology. Being a young tutor I understand my peers more and come from a more relatable space which I believe will help students succeed in their academic goals and personal goals. Outside of public health, my hobbies are swimming, spending time with my dog, and watching my favorite comfort movies and shows.

Based on my experience my lessons will be a mix of videos and using simple teaching techniques that we may recognize from elementary school. These lessons are created for all ages. Most importantly, these lessons are flexible enough to fit everyone's learning style, so adjustments are welcome as needed.
