About Ally
I have both a Bachelor's Degree in Art Ed as well as an MFA in Graphic Design. I am also a licensed K-12 Art teacher with 6 years of experience!
In addition to teaching, I am also a freelance artist and can offer guidance for those interested in pursuing art professionally or developing it as a side business or serious hobby.
My teaching style is relaxed, encouraging, and personalized to each student’s needs. My specialties include portraiture, wildlife, and animal-related artwork, as well as drawing, painting, and graphic design.
I am open to working with students of all ages, though I typically work best with students in 6th grade and up, as well as adults. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, I am confident I can help you improve your creative skills and artistic confidence.

I have been teaching a variety of junior high and senior high art classes for the past 6 years and love helping students grow in their artistic abilities. Whether you’re looking to strengthen foundational skills or refine your personal style, I would love to work with you to help you reach your goals.
Class options: (open to suggestions and deviations as well)
Drawing 1: A basic intro to drawing with a pencil. 6th grade+ Great for beginner to intermediate artists. I will provide supplemental worksheets that I designed & created personally. Painting 1 & 2
A basic-advanced course for ages 12-adult. Choose to focus on Oil or Acrylic paint (must have painting supplies, I can provide a recommended supplies list) I will provide supplemental worksheets that I designed & created personally. Graphic Design 1: Please note, you would need access to Adobe Illustrator, a paid program.
I received my MFA in graphic design and love working on logos, web design, & illustration. I'd love to introduce and coach you through the immense and overwhelming Adobe Illustrator program.
